About BDAC

Bedford & District Aeromodelling Club (BDAC) is one of the longest established clubs in the Bedford area, with an average annual membership of more than 50 fliers. The primary interest is the building and flying of radio controlled power models – this is broad based with sports, scale, fun-fly, aerobatic, and gas-turbine jets, all flown regularly. Interest in electric flight and glider flying is growing, while aerotowing is becoming popular with some members.

The flying site, which is within sight of the famous Cardington hangars, features a well-kept grass runway and is perfectly situated for model flying. Flying is possible seven days a week, all year round.
